Shouting out Love

Okay so I do apologise to any of you who despise Valentine’s Day (February 14th) but maybe you can hold back from rolling your eyes at the cheesiness of it all just for the length of this piece. Even if you don’t have a significant other, Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show anyone in your life how special they are to you (your sibling, parents, grandparents, carers, or friends- whoever it is that you care about enough to do something special for them).

I say you cannot half-heartedly celebrate Valentine’s Day; you have to go FULL CHEESINESS (you’ll see what I mean by that soon). This doesn’t mean emptying your pockets and splurging on someone, it means doing something for them or getting them something that will make them smile; a thoughtful gift. It is of course coming from the heart.

What better way to confess one’s love than to have Nicholas Cage involved? (I never said the gifts had to be serious).

Greeting cards are the perfect opportunity to make someone laugh (unless the person you're buying it for has no sense of humour, then maybe just stick to a generic card).

You can buy this gem here,

You'll be sure to find one suitable!

As for gifts, we suggest something from here.

They always have life essentials like an oreo dunking spoon or a three player game of chess. Things you didn't know you needed in your life until you see them. It's called This Is Why I'm Broke for a reason, so we're sorry but it just has too many great/weird things.

ALSO, make sure to check out UO and Etsy

for some rad gifts. They have the cutest Valentine's Day themed items and I can't bring myself to leave their websites.
