Feedback, Indent’s annual music conference for young people was held on Monday at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Arts as part of Vivid Ideas.

The day consisted of music industry guest speakers, interactive panels and take home resources as well as a rare networking opportunity for those wishing to make it in the music industry.

All artists confessed that they had failed many times before they got to where they are now. From having a small crowd at live shows, to not receiving radio play, the artists all agreed on how important it is to not give up, but instead invest yourself into the making of your music. The songs will speak for themselves. Focus your time, money and energy on making good music, if you wish to succeed as a musician. Don’t be disheartened by rejection, instead let it encourage you to produce better music. Andy Bull revealed that he was glad the way things happened for him (not hearing back from a record label in the US at the beginning of his career) because he still had to grow and learn as a musician, before he could produce music that he would be proud of.

We suggest you attend next years Feedback to hear all of the information and advice for yourself!
