If you happen to be a Back To The Future fan (who isn't?), no this is not Marty McFly's high school rock band.
The Pinheads are (according to their Unearthed bio) a six, sometimes seven piece rock 'n' roll outfit who can be found ten-pin bowling and eating slimy pizza in the suburbs of Illawarra.
Their garage rock single 'I Wanna Be A Girl' has received airtime on Unearthed and Triple J. With KLP, Dave Ruby Howe and Dom Alessio all dropping a line to review the track (positively) on their unearthed page.
If that left you wanting more, don't stress. Due to be released next month is their debut EP 'I Wanna Be A Girl', recorded entirely by themselves and mixed and mastered by Owen Penglis (Royal Headache, The Grates, Straight Arrows). We can't wait to hear more from these guys!
The Pinheads are on the bill to play at Yours & Owls Music & Arts Festival at Stuart Park, Wollongong on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of October.
