Kendrick Lamar Dominates 2016 Grammy Nominations With 11

The nominees for the 58th Grammy Awards have been announced, showing Kendrick Lamar dominating the list, with 11 nominations across a range of award categories. Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly is nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Rap Album, with the track “Alright” being nominated for Song Of The Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video, amongst other nominations for his collaborations with Taylor Swift and Flying Lotus.
Following Kendrick Lamar is Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, who each earn seven. Additionally, music producer/songwriter Max Martin receives six nominations and mastering engineer Tom Coyne, rapper Drake, and engineers/mixers Serban Ghenea and John Hanes each earn five nominations.
Melbourne rocker Courtney Barnett has been nominated for Best New Artist, up against James Bay, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly and Meghan Trainor.
